Practical Support for Life’s Universal Challenges

You deserve mental health support that recognizes the complexities of your life. Whether you are navigating the high-pressure corporate world of Philadelphia, a major life transition in Phoenix, or the daily pace of life in Denver, your need for practical tools and real solutions is the priority.

When you partner with Aaron Dorfman, LCSW, you gain the benefit of over a decade of experience. You are working with a therapist who has supported individuals across the entire socioeconomic spectrum, from front-line communities to the 1%, ensuring that your care is grounded in a deep understanding of the universal human experience.

My Philosophy: Therapy with an Expiration Date

You aren't looking for a permanent seat on a therapist's couch; you are looking for independence. Your therapy should be action-oriented and focused on your specific goals. While your sessions will move at a pace you are comfortable with, ensuring trust is established before diving into difficult topics, the ultimate goal is for you to outgrow the need for a therapist.

You will gain the skills and confidence to manage your emotional and mental health needs on your own. Instead of just talking about problems, you will focus on increasing your self-esteem, overcoming your specific barriers, and making concrete plans to live your best life.

Focused Solutions for Moving Forward

  • You can stop the mental noise. If you are a high-functioning professional feeling the burn, you will learn to identify "thought loops" and build a toolkit of CBT and DBT skills to manage stress and overthinking in real-time. Learn more about your Anxiety toolkit → By Clicking Here

  • Loss is about more than just death. Whether you are navigating bereavement, a divorce, or a career transition, I provide a practical space to process the weight of the past while building the skills to move forward. Learn more about moving through Loss → By Clicking Here

  • Breaking the fog. We focus on "behavioral activation" and action-oriented planning to help you regain your momentum and confidence. Learn more about reclaiming your Momentum → By Clicking Here

  • Do you only see clients in big cities?

No. As a telehealth provider, I am licensed to see anyone physically located within the states of CO, PA, or AZ. My goal is to provide high-quality CBT and DBT-informed care to those in suburbs and rural areas where specialized providers may be limited.

Does insurance cover online therapy for anxiety or grief?

Yes. Most major plans in all three states cover Telehealth (virtual therapy) exactly the same as in-person visits.

How do I find out my exact co-pay?

The easiest way is to use my booking links via Alma, Headway, or SonderMind. They offer an automated tool that checks your specific plan and tells you your exact out-of-pocket cost before we meet.
